Q.

#asktheexpert My 4 year old son doesn't want to sit on the toilet for pooping. Most of the time he is soiling his pants. However he is very conscious and tells us when he wants to pee and accordingly use the toilet. What is the issue? How can we help him?

A. Potty Training can be started after the age of 2 yrs.for thyuiis you need to develop a conditioned reflex in the child by fixing a particular time regularly in which the child should be sitted over the potty seat .do not force the child instead make it a playful activity and not to make the child repulsive about it.slowly the child will learn to indicate before the time.

A. Let your child wear diapers for a few more weeks, months or years, and in the meantime, be sure to do the following: Sing potty training songs. Give your child a doll to potty train. They’ll be responsible for teaching their doll how to use the potty. And they’ll also have to encourage their doll if there are any accidents. Read potty training books. You might even let your child wear underwear over their diapers for awhile.
