#AskTheExpert My 3 month baby has developed dandruff on scalp. please advise treatment and is it ok to put some coconut oil before hair wash to remove dandruff scales.

A. yes that can be cradle cap. Rub a small amount of a pure, natural oil – such as almond or olive oil – on your baby's scalp and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Gently comb out the flakes with a fine-tooth comb or brush them out with a soft brush. uy

A. A three month old child does not have dandruff it is called cradle cap which is common with every child from the time of birth itself but regular oiling and shampoo is definitely going to be one important thing that you need to take care of and brush the hair of the child with an infant brush which is very soft and safe to be used on the head of your child
