#AskTheExpert my 2 month baby is suffering from cold and cough.what to do?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and exhopectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 1 m old girl2 years agoA. Yo paediatrician would be able to help you on this because the child is too small so it is better to use avoid self medicate Inte child they will help you with the right course of medication that you can follow for the child as of now
