Q.
#AskTheExpert My 1 year 15 days old gets into standing position without support and walks independently. she plays, laughs, Recognizes her name, says few words and understands basic instructions. She gets into sitting position from sleeping after rolling over and pushing herself up rather than directly sitting from stomach like us adults. very few times we have seen her getting up directly. please suggest if sitting style is age appropriate

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. a baby will start Sitting with support by 6 months of age and by 7 to 8 months baby will sit without support than by 9 months usually baby crawls and in 10 months baby will stand with support.
After 12 to 15 months baby will start Walking independently and sometimes it may take even longer but in no case any Walker should be avoided as it can cause recurrent fall injury and delay in the wagilking because the child lacks confidence of walking independently.
