Q.

#asktheexpert Mam I have low milk supply, I want to breastfeed my girl but I am not able to feed her completely. I have to give her top feed twice or thrice daily . Last month I had gone through covid positive and my baby was on completely on top feed for three weeks . But now I wanted for my baby only breastfeed . I am trying my best for switch . I take galact powder also . please tell me others ways so that I can increase my breastmilk.

A. Dear mum, the more you breastfeed more will be the milk supply. Have a balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables. Have lots of fluids and water. Don’t be stressed as stress reduces the milk supply. Foods like methi, green leafy vegetables, tree gum or gond, dill leaves or shepu, garden cress seeds, saunth, garlic intake can help increase milk supply.
