#asktheexpert Madam, How many times do a 2 month old baby excrete? Currently my baby is excreting 6-7 times a day Is this a matter of concern ?

A. Hai good afternoon !! New born babies poop 7-9 times a day loose motions. Its absolutely normal to poop 6-8 times a day only concern when baby have loose watery motions with foul smell,frothy or any blood stains or pooping more than 10 times a day. Until 3-4 months they poop motion 6-8 times gradually they reduce count after starting semi solids some might poop once twice in semi solid consisitency .
