Q.

#asktheexpert last month I was admitted cause of preterm labour as my cervix opened up. after the sonography the cervix measured as 3.2cm due to which I was not given any stitches, but I have to take cor 9 progesterone injection weekly and have been asked for bedrest. is this injection compulsory to continue to delivery?

A. Hello dear. Yes the injection does help in supporting the pregnancy. It is nothing but progesterone injection, which will help in reducing the Preterm labor contractions in there by avoiding any chances of Preterm delivery, but it is not hundred percent effective.
