Q.

#AskTheExpert is it problematic if a newborn baby is having hiccups? My daughter is 6 days old and she at times have hiccups after being feeded.

A. it's the gas which does this. Gas can cause discomfort to baby . Give only mother milk to baby , avoid use of bottle feeding or formula milk . burp baby after every feed for 20 minutes by keeping baby upright on shoulder. You can do cycling motion of the legs and also massage tummy gently in morning . Can give gastica drops 1ml to baby for gas.
