#AskTheExpert If a mom is Covid positive and gives birth via c section in that situation, is the baby safe from COVID? if it's a planned c section and mother is still positive, she is willing to wait post 38 weeks too, does that increase the chances of baby to get covid infection from mom ?

A. chances are there. but mothers womb is a shield for baby.. even after birth.. breast milk provides protection against all viral infection. so baby is always safe with mother

A. Hi parent yes mam chances are there but please don't get panic about this matter please follow your Gynecologist instructions very carefully
