#AskTheExpert I want to start cerelac or equivalent for my 2.5 months old daughter. I feel my ebf thing is not sufficient for her even though I have sufficient supply. Growing kids need more. now I've to feed her every half an hour then also I feel she is not satisfied. I've sufficient milk supply

A. Dear mum, cerelac or any other top food should be introduced only after 6 months complete. Until then you should exclusively breastfeed. Breast milk is most nutritious and complete food for baby till 6 months. Introduction of top food before 6 months complete can increase the risk of infection and even reduce the milk supply. Feed as per your baby’s demand. If baby is active, alert, passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours, achieving all growth milestones, gaining adequate weight at least 500 grams per month then feeding is adequate.
