#AskTheExpert i m on labetalol 100 mg twice a day since conception. is tht going to have any short or long turn impact on the baby? my baby is11 months old and he is exclusively brewstfeef.

A. No there is no side effects on the baby even if you take the tablets for a long. But yes you need to have regular follow up with your doctor to know about the proper dose to be taken on proper examination

A. Labetalol and breastfeeding If your doctor or health visitor says that your baby is healthy, it's OK to take labetalol while breastfeeding. Labetalol passes into breast milk in tiny amounts. It's unlikely to cause any side effects in your baby. It's important to treat your high blood pressure to keep you well.
