Q.

#AskTheExpert I have given beetroot (boiled and grinded) to my 6 month old. after few hours I could see rednees in her removed diaper.. is urine will turn red/ pink? if yes, is it normal?

A. Beets contain certain pigments that give them their vibrant and dark purple-red color. These pigments are not absorbed from body, and this is why you can see them in stools n urine . This phenomenon is completely normal and does not cause any health problems.
