Q.
#AskTheExpert I have fever cough and cold from 1day and my baby is just 27dsys old. he is suffering from cold n cough from 6days.. medication is going on however there seems to be no improvement. Doct said that he may have bronchiolitis. he advised antidote ingection for 5days and Nembolatization (steam) for 4days. I am very much worried please help

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of c Drough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
