#AskTheExpert I had a baby girl through c-section. she entered in 5th month on 23rd Dec,2021. till now didn't get my periods.is there any problem do I need to worry and consult local doctor. please suggest.

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. there is no need to worry but you have to keep using contraception because even before you get your periods the ovulation can happen and you can get pregnant and youcan wait you until one year for the periods to come

It Absolutely not needed where in I would just like to tell you a lot of women do not get their periods for a year or so after their delivery and that’s considered very much normal that’s because when you are exclusively breastfeeding the child your hormones change so due to that change a lot of women do not get periods
