Q.

#AskTheExpert I am exclusively breastfeeding my 2 weeks old daughter. However when I try to burp her it comes out with great difficulty and after a long time. She seems to be in distress until it comes out. it's like the burp is stuck and when it comes she even has a gag reflex. Even after burping when I put her down she keeps grunting and her sleep gets disturbed. Please suggest something in this regard.

A. Hi Mom, In this case, do not overfeed your baby at a time. Try to feed your baby smaller amount of milk more often. This will help your baby digest the milk soon. Burp up your baby after every feed. Hold your baby's head slightly up during feeding. Adjust the feeding position often.
