Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a progyper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.g if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 11 m old boy3 years agoA. Hi mom Give indirect steam to ur baby two three times a day and put nasal saline drops to unblock nose. If no improvement then consult your doctor for the same as he will prescribe medicine after the proper evaluation of the baby
