Q.

#AskTheExpert How should we deal with child aggression and stubbornness when expecting a 2nd baby. I have a 6.5 year old and I'm expecting another right now. What are the effective ways to manage the older one's behaviour so that I can be safe and also ensure the safety of the baby when it arrives? When I say stubbornness it means refusal to study, refusal to listen to anything I ask him to do and throwing tantrums for simple things like a bath or food which was never done earlier.

A. it's his reaction to insecurity that he us expecting to come in once the new baby arrives. you need to comfort him and counsel regularly to assure him that he will always be your first love and that he will not be neglected.

A. Hi In this age, child behaves like that. there is lot of refusal to listen to parents. you need to tackle with patience Explain why it has to be done, then leave it upto child. most of the times, child will do what you want him to do. try this. it definitely will work.

A. Hello The only solution is avoiding the situation for next few days. If you will try to stop your baby then they will never listen to you. So try to ignore and avoid your baby as much as you can it will make your baby feel that he is doing bad so will try to make the changes in habit. And this is the only solution
