Q.

#asktheexpert how much naps is normal for newborn baby in a day and how long the naps should be

A. the newborn baby may sleep up to 18 to 20 hours also so you just need to be careful that you should wake up your baby every 2 hourly and feed the baby. You can pinch on the toes of the baby or tickle on the cheeks. So that the baby wakes up and takes the feeding. Also if there is gases in the stomach baby try to stop feeding and then feel sleepy so give proper burping after each feed

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and most of the babies sleep a lot after birth and sometime more than 20 hours and please breastfeeding exclusively and in every two hours at least. Thanks and take care
