#asktheexpert hi my son is 5 months old and has bad nasal and chest congestion. plz advice

A. i have already given him maxtra drops and also mucolite drops... but still no relieve for him... too much of wheezing sound.

A. for cold, steam inhalation can be given as the first step to relieve nasal congestion and easy breathing,nasal saline drops like nasomist can also be put in the nose and repeated many a times as it is harmless n helps in clearing blockage . for proper medication doctor should be consulted as indications of any medicine can be decided only after proper evaluation and diagnosis.for now you can give maxtra or ascoril flu in proper dose. for cough it needs to be diagnosed by clinical examination and then only medicine can be suggested
