#AskTheExpert Hi, my baby is 21 months old but he doesn't speak. He says ba ba for everything. Pls help is it fine or I should consult for speech therapy?

A. don't worry about that it's normal some kids speak late...

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. you should not worry as you can wait till 3 years of age of the child to speak in complete sentences clearly and fluently if its not so then consult doctor.till that time keep interacting as much as possible and involve the child in language enhancingbh activities using audiovisual aids too. dont worry if other milestones are normal this will also be achieved in time at times it may get delayed..there are variations in children by age for this. . .
