Q.

#asktheexpert hi maam Dhruv has a small lip hemangioma.. Now he is 7 month old... still now the mark is visible and deep. any treatment for this??

A. takes 2 years to decrease. your child is having hemangioma. it is a congenital blood vascular malformation. if it is small in size then not treatment is required only wait and watch policy. but if it is large in size it is advisable to meet your doctor because medicines may have to be started along with any surgical intervention if needed. you have to take help of paediatrician as well as paediatric surgeon. care has to be taken that no trauma occurs on it otherwise it can lead to profuse bleeding

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. But it is really very difficult to say anything without proper examination of the baby. It is advisable to get the baby evaluated by a doctor and follow doctors advise properly.
