#asktheexpert Hi, is it safe to take labetalol TDS- 100 mg 7am, 200 mg at 3pm and 100mg at 11 pm, if having high bp (going upto 140/99) in last month of pregnancy? will it affect the baby in any negative way? Have started this med since 1 week as baby gowth restriction was seen in 9 month growth scan due to high bp and proteinuria issue.

A. If the BP is not getting under control, that is exactly when it can impact the baby. As you are already ninth month, the impact on growth restriction will also be relatively lesser when compared to before
