A. Feeling pressure in the pelvic area and experiencing frequent bowel movements towards the end of pregnancy is quite common. As your due date approaches, your body undergoes various changes, including the baby dropping lower into the pelvis in preparation for birth. This can lead to increased pressure on the bladder and rectum, causing the sensation of needing to urinate or have a bowel movement more frequently. Additionally, babies tend to move less vigorously in the womb as they run out of space, but they should still be moving regularly. Feeling lighter movements towards the end of pregnancy is typical, but if you notice a significant decrease in movement or have any concerns about your baby's well-being, it's essential to contact your healthcare provider promptly. However, if you're experiencing intense or persistent pressure, especially accompanied by other symptoms like contractions, vaginal bleeding, or severe pain, it's crucial to seek medical attention as it could indicate labor or other complications. Always trust your instincts and never hesitate to contact your healthcare provider if you're unsure or concerned about any symptoms you're experiencing.
