#asktheexpert Hi , I had a c section on 10 March I still I have light periods as well as mucus is it normal?

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician4 years agoA. hi you are mother of 1 months old now menses start at a variable time from delivery and slight bleeding is fine.mucus in menses can be due to shedding of the upper layer of uterus which is also acceptable.watch for white discharge or foul smelling discharge or sign like fever or abdominal pain

Yes Periods can continue till 40 days or maybe a little more depending from body to body but if you’re having light period or spotting that’s perfectly normal but if there is mucus then that could be either due to cold or some other issues so get it check with your doctor ones
