#asktheexpert hi Dr. my baby is 3months and 29days old and weight about 6.5 kg, I give formula feed every 2.5 to 3 hours. do I need to woke him up during nights and feed him or should I wait till he ask for it during nights? if you suggest not to wake him up and sleep, will it increase collic issues in baby as he is without feed to a stretch of 4 to 5 hours?

A. No You do not have to wake up your child to give a feed if your child is sleeping well enough in the night let your child sleep because in general also it is never recommended to feed the child when the child is sleeping even during the daytime you should wait so whenever your child will be up your child will automatically ask for it
