#AskTheExpert hi doctor..my one month baby having mucus in stool..pus cells 8-10 range in report.doctor told it is normal for breastfeeding babies.. weight is within limit.doctor prescribed darolac syrup for 5 days...but mucus is still there..and she is fussy sometimes..while feeding also...pus cells 8-10 range are serious..when we should worry about mucus

A. Hello mom mucus in new borns is quite common though for the 1st 2 m onths at least. but it indicates quite a number of conditions such as food allergies, infection etc , take care of your diet and prefer only easy to digest foods
