#asktheexpert hi doctor, my kid is having more sweet food, not at all eating other than sweets, becoming rigid and having much more tantrums, is this because of high sugar/sweet in take?

A. Hello mam, don't give too much sugar, it is not good for babies and toddlers. Give usual home cooked food 3 times a day, include protein and carbohydrates. Offer 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. For snacks, you can give any 1 portion of fruit. Alternative sugar with fruits and give snacks on a particular time regularly. So that baby can fix to it.It is complicated but once you used to stick to it. Baby will adapt to it. Avoid junk foods and give healthy nutritious food. Happy parenting!!!

A. It can be a side-effect of having excessive sugar also and it’s not good and healthy for your child all and all so make sure that you balance the food with salt and sugar every day stop giving sugary food if your child is not eating don’t offer anything this is the food that is what you have to eat if you also be a little rigid sometimes it will work because the child ultimately eat whatever you offer when your child would be genuinely hungry
