#asktheexpert hi doctor.. my daughter is 4month old. these red marks are there since birth. we were told that these are birth marks. but from last one week , slight swelling is seen in that area. ? what is the reason? what to do?

A. Haemangiomas usually go away by themselves without any treatment, but some types will need treatment based on their size, location or complication. Haemangiomas grow before they go away. This growth can be alarming but it does stop.
