Q.

#asktheexpert hi doctor my baby is 11and half months old but is only 7kgs please suggest how to increase my baby weight... and also I was affected with covid recently and took last dose of medrol 4mg yesterday.. I stopped breastfeeding from past 20days as iam in isolation... can I breast feed him now as I completed my steroids course?? is it safe for him now?

A. While you are sick, you (or someone else) can give your baby expressed breast milk. If you choose to breastfeed or give expressed milk in a bottle, to help prevent spreading the virus to your baby: Wash your hands before and after touching your baby. Wear a mask while nursing.
