#AskTheExpert hi doc, my son is not yet started speaking clearly till now. but he is saying few wirds like mama, bapa and many thing which doesn't much make meaningful ones but he understands everything and very expressive

A. it is completely fine if you are 1 yr 10 month old baby is not speaking clearly because this will be achieved only by the age of three year when the baby will speak in meaningful complete sentences till then keep interaction as much as possible

A. Hi You really cannot expect your child to say a lot of meaningful words for the good point over here is that your child is speaking a lot of words that’s good but I was understanding everything that’s very good so there is nothing wrong with that child can easily pick up up to the age of three years so please do not worry about it it’s not late at all it’s pretty much in sync and time
