Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello Sir/Mam I am 37 weeks pregnant with normal pregnancy throughout. my baby weighs around 3000 gm .I stand 5ft tall and my doc says that it may not be possible for me to deliver vaginally due to short stature n narrow pelvic area.Pls suggest if i hav to go for c_section mandatorily ,should i go for it now or shud i wait for labour to start?

A. 5 feet height is not a problem and you should one take a second opinion by other doctor for checkup and then decide whether you are really needed to go for a cesarean section delivery

A. See it would completely depend on what your doctor is saying because 3 KG is a very normal weight gain for a child I don’t think so it would be difficult for you to pull off a normal delivery but if your doctor says that it is mandatory as looking at your situation that you have to go for a C-section then still it’s your choice you want to go now or after completing the time of 39 weeks because C-section really will not make a difference to your natural labour
