#AskTheExpert hello my daughter is 3 months old and has developed a white patch covering entire cheek (both cheeks) and chin. what could be the cause and plz advice what should i do

A. this pattern can be seen due to fungal infection in the oral cavity of the child. many times it may be associated with either bottle feeding or usrage of antibiotics in children. it is important to differentiate betfween stuck milk inside the oral cavity and the fungal infection that is also known as oral thrush. meet your doctor for examination of the child and treatment

A. It could be a skin related issue which is called vitiligo which is common with kids at this age and family happening this which is why I think you should take a proper consultation to be a doctor to figure out if that’s the only reason or it is because of calcium deficiencyWrite Your Answer Here
