Q.

#asktheexpert hello my 19 months baby was suffering from dengue since 3 days . On first day his platelets counts were 1.6lakh and on the next day the counts falls to 86 thousand. Is this common such a sudden decrease Platelets? But on the next day the platelets increases to 1.3 lakhs. So I wanted to ask this sudden changes is normal? Now he is fine. But there is some rashes on face and body. How long it will take to heal? Thank you in advance

A. its all normal. its better to consult your paediatrician for proper examination of the child and start treatment as advised by your doctor. otherwise if baby seems fine then there's nothing to worry about

A. See When a person or child or an adult to suffering with dengue it’s very common for them to reduce on the pate platelets which is why it is termed as thank you write and with the treatment slowly gradually obviously the platelets are going to increase once again so don’t worry about it is absolutely absolutely normal and the rashes are probably due to the medicines that is been given to the child and once your child is this Sir you should give really good amount of liquid and iron rich diet to the child
