it is in diagnosis of allergic cough cold .
here the child will have regular cough and cold which is usually not associated with fever .
it increases and decreases but does not get cured completely.
dr will give anti allergic medicine usually motelukast / levocetirizine. if its still not improving the next line of treatment will be inhaler therapy with mdi / nebulizer.
allergy can be ednvironmental (temperature variation -hot to cold weather/ cold water intake / dust / smoke / pollens) , food , chocolate / packet preservatives food and sweet food also.
body cannot sustain such allergic changes leading to cough cold usually at evening /night and morning.

Some times cold and cough can continue for more than 10 days. So in such case you should consult with your doctor and nebulise your baby. It will give relief early. You can also give some home remedies is like a very little amount of turmeric in babies milk and also give 1 teaspoon of honey once in a day.
