Q.

#AskTheExpert hello dr, my baby is 34months old one month before he had high fever , we did his check up and everything. Dr said he has viral infection and everything was normal apart from Iron so we started syrup for Iron as per dr we need to give him only for 15 days but when he was younger, iron was not given to him. so should I continue with iron syurp Or no. please advice

A. If the baby is not having any iron deficiency then there is no need to keep giving the iron medication even if the baby was not given before hand as a two year old or less.Write Your Answer Here

A. Yes Of course you can continue with iron supplement now that’s not an issue it’s a very healthy option that you can stick to and also would like to tell you I don’t supplement can be given at any point of time whenever your child is having a deficiency of iron or low on haemoglobin
