#AskTheExpert Hello doctor My son is 2.8 yr old and he is suffering from very bad cold andcough even though after consulting paediatric the cough and cold is same , we are giving him syrup mucolite 2.5ml but still the cough increasing in the night time pls suggest some alternative cough syrup and cold for immediate resolution.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 11 m old girl3 years agoA. ir may be any viral. Cough and cold is due to the seasonal variation or changes in temperature . Mostly it's a viral and will be normal in 3 to 5 days just steam as a home remedy for this. Other montair LC for cold and ascoril for cough can be used
