#AskTheExpert hello doctor my kid is suffering from cold,she is 10 months old.i am giving Solvin cold AF drops is this ok to give or is there any other drops can you please suggest, and can I use nasal drops if yes how many time per day.

A. Cold is a viral disease that may occur with symptoms like sneezing, running nose, cough ,sore throat, nasal congestion and fever.at times it may be allergic too. Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants . steam inhalation would help in relieving congestion n soothing the irritation in nose and throat . Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold can be given in a proper dose according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms but it it will be better to take only underlie medical guidance.so please get examination and treatment done by your pediatrician it will be better.it is not advisable to self medicate

A. Nasal Cops you can use you can use it every six hours if it is needed and for other medicine the one you are giving don’t continue with that kindly consult your paediatrician they will tell you the right medicine to go for your child is too small don’t try to self medicate please
