#asktheexpert hello doctor... my child is 3 years and 4 months old. She keeps complaining about itchy feet while she goes to sleep. Other times she is normal and doesn't complain about it. And some days she sleeps only when I soothe her itchy feet by scratching. She doesn't have any insect bite or any rashes. So I just clean her feet with soap and warm water and apply aloe vera gel. What is the reason for this itchy feet?

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. If the child is eating too much sweets or salty foods then keep it in limit and clean the feet properly as you are already doing and at bed time apply Vaseline as it can calm itching and removes dryness

make sure to wash feet regularly at night and apply good quality moisturizer before sleeping.
if still there is problem then consult with your pediatrician once.
