#AskTheExpert Hello doctor, my baby has started teething. I have heard that gripe water and calcarea phosphorica tabs are given to babies during this period to ease discomfort. should I give them my baby also? gripe water contains preservatives like methyl paraben and propyl paraben. And calcium phosphate tabs also contain lactose. kindly advise.

You should consult your pediatrician before going ahead with any external agents. You can give of prescribed by your doctor. Untill then you can maintain good oral hygiene and keep your baby well hydrated.
