#AskTheExpert Hello doctor,My baby birth weight is 3.8kg.she is gaining only 500gm per month.is it normal or she has to gain some more weight.she is only taking mother's milk.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist4 years agoA. Dear mum, gaining of 500 grams per month is a normal weight gain, do not worry. Continue to exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
