#AskTheExpert Hello doctor my baby 4 months old but he is not gaining weight ,he gain very less weight after birth what should I do

A. feed adequate. that's all.See when baby has any new complain then better avoid any self medication. Show to a doctor for right and timely diagnosis and treatment. Thays a safe procedure.You can always try to add health and tasty substitute like whole grain cookies, cakes and. Home made papad etc.patience is very important too.

A. Hello dear parent! There should be a minimum weight gain of 400gms to 500gms in a month. Continue breastfeeding your baby well on demand for better health, nutrition and hydration. If you are still concerned better consult your doctor for further advice. It is said to be ideal if the baby doubles its birth weight by 6 months completion and triples by one year completion.
