#AskTheExpert hello doctor., mother of 2 month baby. us it mandate to take iron and calcium tablets post delivery. my doctor did not suggest any. plz tell me

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. it's good to take, as during lactation period after delivery body is weak because of blood loss, so to fulfillment of it better to take iron supplements pluse calcium also.

Clarify all your concerns regarding this and follow your doctor’s advice diligently. Eat a well balanced healthy diet and keep yourself hydrated all through the day. Good luck and take care
