#AskTheExpert Hello doctor, just want to confirm from when we can give water to my 3 month old kid.Also from when to use gripe water?

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. is no requirement of giving Gripe water or water to the baby just breastfeed him exclusively till 6 month
If your breast feeding your baby then continue to breastfeed at regular intervals and there is no need to give anything else apart from mother milk or formula milk to baby till he complete 6months of age as it is complete food that takes care of hydration as well as nutrition. After 6 month you can gradually start weaning with homemade easy to digest food items like rice porridge ragi porridge mashed fruits apple Puree, mashed banana chiku etc.
But whatever you are introducing should be introduced gradually with a small amount
