#AskTheExpert hello doctor gunjan, my baby is 4.9 kg and he is 3 months now, his birth weight is 4 kg, he wets diaper around 10 times, he is on breastfeeding, he is active and no health problems, please suggest why he is not gaining weight

Jasmine KaurMom of a 9 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. Hello dear parent, since baby's birth weight was good enough because of which he is not gaining at that rapid speed.
Post birth baby sheds weight a little and then starts gaining again.
By age 1 year, your baby should be 10 kgs ( 9.to 11 kgs). Accordingly your baby is doing well.
