A. Duck walking is often recommended in the third trimester, around 34–36 weeks of pregnancy, to help improve pelvic flexibility, strengthen leg muscles, and encourage baby’s descent for a normal delivery. However, it should only be done if your doctor approves, as it may not be suitable for high-risk pregnancies or those with complications like low placenta, cervical issues, or severe back pain. Benefits of Duck Walking in Pregnancy: ✔ Helps open the pelvis and strengthens lower body muscles. ✔ Encourages baby’s head to engage in the birth canal. ✔ Improves flexibility, which may aid in normal delivery. Precautions: Always do it slowly and carefully to avoid falls. Use support (like a wall or partner) if needed. Stop immediately if you feel pain, discomfort, dizziness, or contractions. Alternative Exercises: Squats, pelvic tilts, and walking are also great for preparing the body for labor. Always consult your gynecologist before starting any exercise.
