#asktheexpert can i breastfeed my baby when he gets hiccups, my MIL says feeding baby when they getting hiccups may help.

A. Yes you can feed the baby. Feeding actually helps. But make sure you burp your baby properly to avoid frequent bouts of hiccups

A. no dear not at all hiccups happens due to overfeeding or when baby gulps lots of air during feeding so try to calm down ur baby while hiccups its a natural process so let it stop natuthete is no need to give anything while he ix having hiccups
