Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only afgdter a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to rfeduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy2 years agoA. steer clear of anyone who has a cold.avoid secondhand smoke.wash their hands well and often, especially after blowing their noses.sneeze or cough into a tissue or their elbow, not into their hands.not share towels, drinking glasses, or eating utensils with someone who has a cold.
