Q.

#AskTheExpert baby is underweight and his weight is 1700 gms.. he is 24 days old.. and admitted in the hospital for weight increase.. he is coughing but doesn’t has cough and sneezes a lot..

A. if your newborn baby is in the hospital you need to take precaution not to get the baby infected from any other person for any covid like virus as well as need to feed the baby well this must be done under strict paediatric consultation

A. hi please breastfeed your child as per his or her needs it contains antibodies which help your child to fight against viral or bacterial infection feed your child on each breast at least 20 minutes so he or she can get full fat hindmilk well which help to increase your child weight give Massage to your child daily dress your child in weather appropriate clothes provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day maintain good hygiene
