Q.

This weight graph is for babies who are born full term. What about the babies who are born pre-term ?? My son was born in 32 wks and weighted 1700 gms. How should I understand the weight graph for my son?

A. in general baby should gain around 500 to 800 g per month and should be double the birth wt at 4 to 6 months and three times the birth wt at completing one yr.. it is exclusively breast feed recommended for 6 months..
