A. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever whenever the child is crying excessively you have to take hold of the child in the arms. you have to find the cause of excessive crying because it can be due to either hunger or it might be due to colic at this age. after breastfeeding also if the the crying continues you can give anti colic medicines and massage and treatment on the line of colic pain. you can walk briskly by holding the child on the shoulder and also sing a lullaby. s also see for any local discomfort or temperature variations (hot or cold). for nasal blockage related crying give nasal saline drops. observe fsor oral ulcers or fungal infection causing pain.
